"Poundstone improvises with a crowd like a jazz musician, swinging in unexpected directions without a plan, without a net." -The Boston Globe
Appearing on stage with a stool, a microphone and a can of Diet Pepsi, Paula Poundstone is famous for her razor-sharp wit and spontaneity. Frequent appearances include NPR's "oddly informative" weekly quiz show Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, Late Night With David Letterman, Sesame Street and a host of others. Breaking the sitcom mold of stand up comedians, Poundstone branched out to write a series of math textbooks for children with her own high school math teacher, and is also a national spokesperson for Friends of Libraries U.S.A (FOLUSA).
