Solas has been loudly proclaimed by the press as one of the most popular, influential and exciting Celtic bands ever to emerge from the United States. They can play undiluted traditional Irish music as well as anyone alive or departed, and have a resume that is proof of the universality of Celtic music and its equality to jazz, rock, folk, or bluegrass. Their fresh approach transcends musical genres into the realm of pure musical expression that only a handful of musicians attain.
